Ahead of the broadcast, a special promotional video (PV) for “Ooka Momiji’s Sweet Trap” was released on September 14th. This PV gives a sneak peek into the captivating storyline that intertwines a stage play, a murder mystery, and some delectable Kyoto sweets.

What to Expect from “Ooka Momiji’s Sweet Trap”

In these highly anticipated episodes, the story kicks off with a stage play inspired by characters Kogoro and Heiji. Conan and his friends visit Kyoto for a meeting related to this play, only to find themselves entangled in a mysterious murder.

Here’s a quick rundown of the plot:

  • Ran and Kazuha are exploring Kyoto’s famous sweets shops, sponsored by the team behind the stage play.
  • Meanwhile, Conan, Kogoro, and Heiji are at the residence of director Kyosuke Kabumoto, alongside producer Karuo Myoji, scriptwriter Reisuke Inaba, stage director Shigeki Kimata, and stage sponsor Momiji Ooka.
  • During this meeting, Kuroda Hyōe, a collaborator, mentions that Momiji asked for his help during his visit to Kyoto. Suspicion arises when Kazuha notices Momiji's involvement with the stage and Iori Muga’s peculiar instructions.

As the meeting progresses, Kabumoto, who is on a diet, abstains from eating the pizza ordered by the team. Feeling drowsy, he heads upstairs for a nap. However, when Kuroda returns to bid farewell, he discovers actress Kyoda Ninka dead in a locked room. Initially ruled as a suicide by poisoning, Conan and Heiji are convinced it's a case of murder. Thus, the investigation into the locked room poisoning begins.
